On 29 October 2022, we were the recipient of the Pennsylvania Council of the Blind's Community Impact Award for which we are both honoured and very grateful. This is the text which appears on the plaque of the award.

The Pennsylvania Council of the Blind, a Peer Network for All Impacted by Vision Loss, presents this 2022 Community Impact Award to Hartgen Consultancy.

Founded in 2014 by Brian and Louise Hartgen, Hartgen Consultancy was established with a mission to provide accessible training and usable software tools to individuals with vision loss and to the deaf Blind community. Its product offerings have and continue to significantly contribute to the employability and productivity of these communities. The Hartgens' vision of inclusiveness and accessibility; a vision that informs every training module, all adaptive products, and excellent customer service, embodies the commitment to the core values of the company they have built. Hartgen Consultancy has rightfully earned an international reputation for integrity, innovation, principled design, and provision of product training, support, and troubleshooting.

Presented on October 29, 2022 at the 87th Annual PCB Conference and Convention

On 6 July 2023, we were presented with The Robert S. Bray Award by the American Council of the Blind. The Robert S. Bray Award is given in honour of the first director of what is now the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. This award may be given to an individual or an organization that has made a significant contribution to improving library services, information technology or communication access.
