We are well-known for providing high quality training to people on site in the UK and through our training courses. We are frequently commissioned by companies who themselves offer screen-reader training to visually impaired people because they know they will receive a top quality service, where customers are taught how to use JAWS or ZoomText Fusion in a professional manner and that knowledge is completely up-to-date. Our training courses have also proved that people want to learn about subjects previously taught, and even many of our older training courses, (of which we now have many), are still being purchased.

We can now provide training to overseas customers on a remote basis. What we have learned is that there are many areas of America particularly where training from a specialist is completely unavailable. This is a good chance of being able to learn about the technology you have purchased in a short time-frame. You would not be following a training course. The training is completely customised to your own requirements.

What Kind of Topics Could I Learn About?

To say again, this is your training course, so you can design it. Many things are possible but here are some examples.

J-Say Software. Are you struggling with using the J-Say technology in specific environments such as the internet? Do you have problems creating J-Say Shortcuts to make life easier when working with files and folders? Is Dragon having difficulty understanding names and Email addresses so you need to create J-Say Contacts but are not sure how? JAWS for Windows. What are the best ways of navigating Excel spreadsheets? How do you use the Text Analyzer to good effect when checking text formatting? Do you need help with setting up Placemarkers or custom labels for a specific website?

StationPlaylist Studio and Creator. Would you like to learn how to work with features of the StationPlaylist suite not covered in our training courses? Do you need advice on setting up StationPlaylist Creator to categorise your music?

ElBraille. Have you just purchased an ElBraille but are not sure how to use it? Is the Windows operating system, and the applications installed, customised to perform optimally with access technology so as to ensure the device performs at its best?

How it Works.

Providing you use JAWS for Windows or the ElBraille, we can help. Since all training is carried out remotely, there is no restriction in terms of the country in which you live. Training is delivered either using the telephone, Skype or through one of our Zoom conferencing rooms whichever is preferred. A recording of each training session can be provided if required. JAWS Tandem, which is already built into JAWS itself, is used to connect to the computer or ElBraille device.

Costing.

Remote training is offered as a block of three hours. This does not mean that you need to have all the training delivered in a three hour block. It could be that you would prefer three one hour sessions instead.

The cost is £120 which is approximately $152 US.

This can then be discussed with you prior to ordering. As with our on site training, we will not take a training job if it cannot be delivered to a good standard.
