From Bert: Feeling Good

Hi, Everyone.

Goodness me! No blog entry last week, tut tut tut! Well, to tell the truth, the weeks when we stay on Merseyside for the weekend are apt to be a bit dull. Nothing much happens at all. Brian works, I run the house and help him with anything he needs help with, and we just count the days till we can go on our travels again, so there really is not that much to say.

However, tomorrow we are off to Wales, so we are both of us going about with an extra spring in our step. I was thinking to myself just now, as I packed up my backpack, I like working here, I always have, I was always contented, I am optemistic by nature, you know. Well, then life got complicated, shall we say, and then I had that fight with the car, and there was all the bother of recovering from that, but now, well everything is so good. Everything is more than good, it is totally brilliant! It is nice to wake up in the morning and think Yay! something nice will happen today, it is a good day!

So, tomorrow is going to be hectic, I have to get everything organized for a very early start, Brian has a full work day, and we will hopefully get to L's between 7:30 and 8:30. I cannot wait to get back into my lovely comfy closet again! L says she has a surprise for us, she will not tell us anymore, I cannot wait to find out what it is!

And, something else good is happening this weekend! Down for Double is back! Gosh, I have missed helping with that show. We are going to be talking about songs that make you feel good, and do you know, I gave Brian the idea for it, how about that! He even let me call L and tell her about the idea! That was amazing, I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of times he lets me call L! I expect they, I mean Brian and L, will be putting a proper blog entry up about it at some stage, but if you want your feel good song played on the show, all you have to do is write to and tell them what it is. Ha! Got that one in first, let us see what they make of that!

I had better go now, the housework is not going to do itself, and I want this place all spick and span before I leave tomorrow. Thank you, as ever, for reading this, and I hope you are all having a great week.

Big smiles from Bert.
